The results reveal the professionals in these regions are receptive to finding ways to use AI at work.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>53% say AI won&#8217;t bring new pressures, challenges<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Thomson Reuters found that over half of professionals surveyed (53%) are optimistic about AI being introduced into their profession. They don&#8217;t believe AI will bring new pressures or challenges into their firm\/department, or profession. On the flip side, over two in five survey respondents (44%) stated\u00a0that the technology<em>\u00a0will\u00a0<\/em>introduce new pressures and challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"videoframe\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"vidyard_iframe\" src=\"\/\/play.vidyard.com\/\nMJ2uNFhVNj6tpNBe9mhGWe\n.html?\" width=\"100%\" height=\"100%\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" allowtransparency=\"true\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/div> <style>.videoframe {position: relative;overflow: hidden;width: 100%;padding-top: 56.25%;}.vidyard_iframe{position: absolute;top: 0;left: 0;bottom: 0;right: 0;width: 100%;height: 100%;}<\/style>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">AI key to liberating professionals from administrative work<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Professionals also want AI to help with daily administrative tasks. AI can potentially free up professionals&#8217; time, making way for focused impactful work. The professionals surveyed have identified the opportunity to integrate AI into their workflow to achieve a higher level of efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AI is transforming the world of work across professions and regions according to Jackie Rhodes Managing Director, Asia and Emerging Markets for Thomson Reuters. Professionals in Asia and emerging markets, driving significant change, embracing the opportunities AI could bring to daily tasks and long-term goals.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAI is clearly a once-in-a-career opportunity impacting the growth of firms and companies around the world.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAI can in fact be leveraged to mitigate the biggest feathers of employees&#8230; It will help to reduce the risks, the admin and the less enjoyable parts of working life while allowing professionals to generate more meaningful impact,&#8221; she said.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Singapore&#8217;s AI experts set to triple<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In December last year, Singapore Deputy Prime Minister Lawrence Wong announced the plan to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/technology\/singapore-triple-ai-talent-15000-experts-deputy-pm-says-2023-12-04\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">triple the country&#8217;s AI experts<\/a>. In this year&#8217;s budget,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.smartnation.gov.sg\/media-hub\/press-releases\/20240301a\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">a further $1 billion SGD investment in AI<\/a>&nbsp;capability will be made by the Singapore government. Meanwhile,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/technology\/apple-readies-m4-chips-macs-bloomberg-news-reports-2024-04-11\/\">Apple is reportedly launching M4 computer chips equipped with AI processing capabilities<\/a>, indicating AI is set to become a key productivity asset for the future of professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Generative AI is a fast-growing technology that gets better with experimentation. The slightly more positive than negative survey results reveal professionals are receptive but cautious about incorporating AI into their workflows.
